Bulldozer Operator Program

‚Äč A bulldozer operator runs a tractor which is fitted with a bulldozer blade. Bulldozers are used to move soil, rock, and other materials, in a wide variety of settings ranging from the battlefield to construction sites. In many cases, a bulldozer operator is responsible for maintaining the equipment he or she uses, in addition to running it. Bulldozer operators show up at the job site early to make sure that their equipment is in good working condition, and to lubricate and clean their tractors. Minor problems may be fixable on the job site, while the bulldozer may need to be sent out for major repair work. Bulldozer operators are also responsible for confirming that their safety systems are in place and working properly.

The graduate of the program will acquire the skills and knowledge required to become a safe entry-level Bull-Dozer Operator.

  • Career Perspective

There will always be a requirement for qualified bulldozer operators; it is not just today that there is a shortage. It is a skill in which many sectors have a demand. Construction, road building, forestry, mining, and general development programs require a large number of people to operate heavy machinery.

Operating a bulldozer is very different than other heavy machinery. It is essential that you receive the right training. We offer the training that focuses on specific aspects of the job such as understanding the different soil types and conditions, potential hazards and obstacles.

At the end of the day the rewards in both monetary form and job satisfaction are well worth the effort of taking the time to undertake a short course of study.
